what are my chances of getting a job in this field?
Your chances are extremely good. Dentists are so busy they have no time to train assistants. You will be taught all that is necessary for an entry level position.
Do I need a license to be a dental assistant?
In New Jersey a license is not required to perform basic procedures. Expanded functions and x-rays require additional training and successfully passing a license exam.
Can I expect benefits?
If you are working full time many offices now have a benefit package. Working part time depends on the office.
How much will I earn??
According to salary.com, the median salary for a dental assistant in Middlesex County, NJ is $40,429. Starting salary will be less, and experienced assistants will earn more.
What will be expected of me as a Dental Assistant?
Some of your responsibilities will be:
- Greeting patients
- Setting up instruments for various procedures
- Developing and mounting X-rays
- Pouring and trimming of models
- Chair-side assisting
- Charting and record keeping
- Explaining post-op instructions
- Dismissing the patient
What if I have trouble learning all these things?
Our classes are small with a 5 to 1 student to instructor ratio.
Individual instruction will be given if necessary.

The total cost, including registration, tuition, books, work, safety package and insurance is $2,605.00.
What payment arrangements can I make?
We accept cash, checks or major credit cards.
A six-month no interest payment plan is available for qualified applicants.
Where are you located?
The school has locations in both Parlin, New Jersey and Forked River, New Jersey. The Parlin school is in a professional building at 984 Route 9 in the Parlin section of Sayreville just south of GSP exit 123. There is free parking available. The Forked River school is in a professional building at 939 West Lacey Road,
Forked River, just off the Garden State Parkway exit 74.
